Becoming a member gives you ongoing access to the studio during designated Open Studio Hours. Bring your project, grab a machine, experiment with something new, or pick up where you left off in class.
Open Hours is a time for practicing, making, troubleshooting, sharing ideas, and getting to know other machine knitters in the community.
Perfect for you if you:
Would like to practice between classes
Want regular time on a knitting machine to work on projects
Love machine knitting, but don’t want to deal with the required maintenance
Are considering purchasing a machine, but want to experiment a bit more first
Enjoy hanging out with other knitters
Have a machine at home but sometimes just want to get out of the house!
A few more details:
If there is a specific piece of equipment you would like to use on a particular day, just send us an email to request it. We will do our best to reserve that machine or tool for you.
A technician will be on site in the event that there is a mechanical issue with a machine.
This time is for independent work only - in general, knitting instruction will not be provided. If you are interested in private lessons, please contact us here.
Yarn: You are welcome (and encouraged) to bring your own yarn. The studio yarn is also available for a fee of $5 per ounce used with a $5 minimum charge. This fee will be calculated when you are completed with your knitting.
